Dewey's Liquors
About This Spot
Step inside Dewey's Liquors and you're greeted by a lively, bustling neighborhood hub where the rhythm of the night feels alive and unhurried. It’s the kind of place where the hum of friendly chatter and the crisp clink of bottles set a steady, welcoming pace—never rushed, but always efficiently moving along. There’s an understated energy here, a sense that this spot quietly knows its customers, many of whom come back time and again to find their favorite spirits or discover something new, all under the glow of late-night hours.
The layout feels straightforward and approachable, with well-organized shelves that promise an easy journey through a wide selection—from everyday essentials to those generous-sized bottles for stocking up. While the shop can get crowded, that buzz only adds to its authenticity, a local rhythm where people flow through with purpose yet share a moment of connection with the friendly faces behind the counter.
What makes Dewey’s stand apart isn’t just the breadth of its offerings but its rare openness well into the early morning, a quiet nod to the night owls and planners alike who know that good occasions and quiet evenings can start— or continue—at any hour. It’s a place that understands life happens late and often outside the usual schedule.
There’s a practical warmth to Dewey’s, a sense that you’re part of a community where reasonable prices meet genuine service. The occasional intensity of the crowd and the occasional hum of the neighborhood’s more colorful characters only add layers to its vibrant story, putting you right in the middle of Temple Terrace’s local life.
For anyone exploring the area's more spirited side, Dewey’s Liquors stands as a steady and familiar companion, always ready to help fill your glass or quiet your quest for something special, no matter the hour.

They definitely have great prices! It was a little crowded and chaotic. I was unaware that the prices listed was for cash only but it was still a great deal, it’s only $1.00 more for card lol I will definitely be back and will park across the street!!

One of the best places in town. They have everything you need, in all sorts of sizes. I like giant bottles so I don't have to go back and forth. They open late like no other liquor stores. They understand that the night is young and there's no right time to buy liquor. Don't be fooled by the geographics, I've never had a problem going there.

Great prices on liquor but you have to look over your shoulder when entering especially leaving. All kind of characters. Me, I am used to it, its worse back home in Brooklyn NY

The area may not be the best but the store is really cool. They've branded themselves pretty well with lighters, shirts and other neat things available. Their prices seem pretty good and there's LOTS of individual shot size bottles and other fun party supplies

I have been going To Dewey’s since I moved to Tampa and they have always had the best service. However, after living here for four years, I went into Dewey’s and I bought a bottle of rum. When I got home, My Chihuahua ran under my feet and I dropped the bottle and it shattered. I went back to Dewey’s to buy a replacement bottle, which I did, but the staff informed me that if I brought back the unopened bottle top they would give me a replacement bottle. I brought back the entire bag you see in the photos with the unopened bottle shards and they gave me a replacement on the spot. After living in Tampa for four years, as well as Naples, Panama Ciry Beach, Gainesville, Marco Island, Bonita Springs, Miami, and Chipley I can tell you that Dewey’s liquor is the best liquor store with the best staff in all of Florida and it’s not even close. Shout out to all the staff!
